“A long time ago, there was an island that the Lazuli and Mevesii used to call Alma. The island is off the coast of Spain, and has long since been forgotten. It was a very magical island, they said. There were claims that the Lazuli and Mevesii had the ability to shift into animals, although nobody knew what the difference between the two were -they just knew that there was a difference, and that they were two separate races of their own kind...” the old lady began, her voice steady and smooth, as her granddaughter laid her head onto her grandmother's lap.
The old lady ran a hand through the young girl's mousy brown hair. That's when she found it. An old, dusty wardrobe. Slowly the young girl opened it up, and walking in, began rummaging through her grandmother's old clothes. And that's when she saw it, hanging on the back of the wardrobe was an old, body-length mirror. But, when she looked at the glass, she noticed it wasn't her reflection she was looking at... it was an old abandoned ship.
That's when, with one misstep she stumbled into Alma...
