moss forest

The southern part of the Colorcoat's land is covered by a forest that gets its name from the moss that covers every inch of it. In some parts the moss is just a light covering, easily plucked out by simply walking on it; other parts have moss so deep that you sink into it. It is not just moss that covers the forest floor, for there is also ivy and other creeping plants that make up the green carpet. Not much vegetation can grow through the moss, but the trees here are huge and have large buttress roots. Many of the trees are several feet in width, and their tops soar over the heads of the Colorcoats that inhabit the area. Prey is very abundant here, so the wolves don't have to do much to catch their food. The pack congregates in a large clearing in the heart of the forest where a small creek winds around one side. More often than not you will find multiple Colorcoats by the water staring at their reflection.

rolling hills

The northern half of the territory is dominated by open hillside ending in steep cliffs at the border. There are a few patches of trees and bushes, but other than that, the only growing things you'll see is the short, soft grass that coats the floor. The hills are low and wide for the most part, always with a refreshing breeze sweeping across them. Rodents tend to make their homes in burrows here, attracting raptors and fox-boars. The Colorcoats have found a way to easily catch any prey by camouflaging themselves outside the holes and waiting for the creatures to creep out unsuspectingly. The summits of the taller hills provide a perfect view of the sunrise and sunset, which paint the territory in beautiful colors every morning and every night.

echo's cave

Hidden under the northern cliffs there is a rocky tunnel that opens up to a cavern of splendor. A plethora of jewels and crystals have formed here - no one truly knows why. The result is a cave that glitters at every turn and turns all heads towards those wearing jewelry made from these spectacular gems. Colorcoats like to come here to cuddle, relax under beautiful colors, pry gems out to make accessories, or preen. Not only are some jewels polished bright enough to reflect faces, there is also a clear spring in the center of the cavern where Colorcoats may admire themselves (or drink from if they wish to distort the reflection of a disliked pack member). Legend says that if love is professed while in this mysterious cave, the rocks do not echo the words. Instead, the cave keeps them as a secret, as if they were never uttered at all.

Board Description
colorcoats
The Colorcoats have a relatively small territory in the heart of Ilisthmira. They rarely bother to defend the borders, since most of them remain around the main camp anyway. Food is so abundant, though, there really isn't much of a point in fighting for the outskirts of their territory. Most of the land is forested, but the perimeter is more varied as it meets up with the other packs' territories.
