[/left]And the Maker merely watched.Ah, he would have been forgiving were it only the Sinner which had sinned-but it was more than obvious his perfect creation submitted to a greater sin than what the Rebel-hearted citizen had done. His creation was shrouded in Greed.
The Heart of Alvanare was never destroyed, of course, for the selfish inhabitants had forgotten that the source of their prowess waswithinthem. They commenced to kill and destroy in attempts to appease their angered Maker. They wished for the Altar to be built once more.
While he did not listen to their plea, he was quick to punish their greed. He granted them peace, stating that he had placed the Altar upon Alvanare once more, though it was hidden from their eyes, and the task of finding it was there's alone. The notion ceased the wars and bloodshed...for a while, at least.
The Sinner who was responsible for the unneeded discord was called upon again, and the power of the Heart of Alvanare was placed wholly upon her. The unimaginable amount of power which had been placed upon her shoulders bid her immortality, but cursed the creature with an immense amount of insanity. Stipped of her magical prowess, she was forever trapped in the body of her Novalian form- that of a small, black cat. She was powerless, and unable to lay a finger against any creature upon Alvanare.
Though she held one damning essence about her, which the Maker had allowed to flourish. As long as she resided in Alvanare, the discord the citizens so selfishly succumbed to centuries past would remain intact. Their prayer for Peace would forever be in vain. She embodied the prospect of evil herself. The Black Cat is the Heart of Alvanare.
She is called Laudanum.
